‘30’ RELEASE DATE

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday 13 October, Adele penned a heartfelt message about her forthcoming album saying that when she began putting it together three years ago, she was nowhere close to where she had hoped to be.

“I’ve learned a lot of blistering home truths about myself along the way. I’ve shed many layers but also wrapped myself in new ones. Discovered genuinely useful and wholesome mentalities to lead with, and I feel like I’ve finally found my feeling again. I’d go as far as to say that I’ve never felt more peaceful in my life.”

She also took a moment to thank her friends for their support during her journey. “When I was writing it, it was my friend who came over with a bottle of wine and a takeaway to cheer me up. My wise friend who always gives the best advice,” wrote the 33-year-old singer.

She confirmed that her album will be released on Friday 19 November.

‘EASY ON ME’

Adele released Easy On Me in the early hours of Friday 15 October. The piano ballad is the type of tune that we can all relate to in some way or another.

The Easy On Me lyrics read: “There ain’t no gold in this river, that I’ve been washing my hands in forever. I know there is hope in these waters, but I can’t bring myself to swim where I am drowning.”

In the Easy On Me music video directed by Xavier Dolan,  Adele is on a journey, a refreshing journey it seems as she seeks to leave her past behind. She has gathered all her belongings, sold her house and is ready for the long road ahead.
