Adele’s last three albums were titled after the age she had written them, 19, 21 and 25. Fans are speculating that her new album is called 30 and that it has been in the works for three years now seeing that she is 33 years old.

According to the BBC, the number 30 was projected onto numerous buildings around the world leaving fans to speculate that a new album is on the way. It is reported that the Grammy award-winning singer used the same font she has used on her previous albums.

30 was projected in Venice Grand Canal in the Phillippines, Empire State Building in New York, and in Bejing, China.

Most times, fans know their favourite artist is about to drop new music when their social media profile pictures change. In Adele’s case, she changed her Twitter and Instagram profile pictures to a turquoise pattern.

A Twitter user wrote: “The start of a new Adele Era.”

In January it was reported that singer-songwriter Raphael Saadiq would be working on Adele’s 30. There are also reports that R&B songstress H.E.R, Sam Smith and Jimmy Napes have all contributed to the album. Adele is also a huge Beyoncé fan and there have been “whispers” that we might see Queen Bey on Adele’s new album.

In an Instagram post celebrating her 31st birthday in 2019, she might have confirmed that her album is titled 30 but jokingly shared what fans should expect.

“Bunch of f*cking savages, 30 will be a drum n bass record to spite you,” wrote the Hello songstress.
