The Batman, starring English actor Robert Pattinson and American actress Zoë Kravitz, is set to premiere on Friday 4 March. As the anticipation for the film builds, Kravitz told Pedestrian.tv that her character, Selina Kyle aka Catwoman is bisexual! In the film, there is a scene where Catwoman refers to her friend Anika as “baby” but in the later scenes, she flirts with Batman…

‘THE BATMAN’

DC’s new blockbuster, The Batman is the 18th Batman movie ever made. The superhero film, directed by Matt Reeves, follows Bruce Wayne aka Batman going after The Riddler, a serial killer who targets innocent citizens in Gotham City.

Catwoman helps Batman take down The Riddler, but she is also searching for her missing friend along the way. 

The cast for the film includes Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, Jeffery Wright, John Turturro and Peter Sarsgaard.

ZOË KRAVITZ ON CATWOMAN’S SEXUALITY 

According to Pedestrian.tv, in one scene, Zoë Kravitz’s character Catwoman enters her apartment looking for her friend, Anika. While looking for Anika, Catwoman refers to her as “baby” implying that their friendship is more than just platonic…

Commenting on the possibility of a romantic connection with Anika, the 33-year-old actor said: “That’s definitely the way I interpreted that, that they had some kind of romantic relationship.”

When the interviewer expressed her excitement about Catwoman identifying as bisexual, Kravitz said: “I agree!”

WARNER BROTHERS HALTS FILM RELEASE IN RUSSIA 

The Batman was set to be released on Friday 4 March worldwide, but Warner Brothers decided to pull the film from being released in Russia. This comes after Russia invaded Ukraine on Monday 21 February.

In a statement sent to The Hollywood Reporter, the production company said: “In light of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, WarnerMedia is pausing the release of its feature film The Batman in Russia.”

“We will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves. We hope for a swift and peaceful resolution to this tragedy.”
