Preliminary results from the ongoing queer survey conducted by The South African reveals that the majority of queer people in Mzansi consider themselves to be single.

The survey has been running since the beginning of November and the vast majority of the respondents to date are between the ages of 25 and 34.

Similar results were found in a study that was done in 2018 that also revealed that a majority of gay men over 45 years old reported being single.

In addition, the particular study had over 1 800 participants in the United States.

The South African queer survey will run until 16 December 2022.
