It is understood that a blood clot related to the operation may have caused the coronary events.

“Former WCW and WWE star Scott Hall is on life support at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Ga. after suffering three heart attacks last night, PWTorch has learned,” Wade Keller wrote.

“He had hip replacement surgery last week, but suffered a serious complication when a blood clot got loose.”

Veteran of the Monday Night Wars

Hall was most prominent in the wrestling business during the Monday Night Wars of the 1990s, competing on both WWE and WCW programming.

He is best known for his groundbreaking ladder match with Shawn Michaels and his work with the New World Order in WCW.

Twice inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame

Hall has twice been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, first as Razor Ramon in 2014 and then as part of the mass induction of the NWO in 2020.

Fans and colleagues have taken to social media to send well wishes to Hall.

Hall has dealt with extensive health problems in the last few years, including cardiac issues that resulted in him getting a defibrillator and pacemaker implanted in his chest.

The wrestling icon is a four-time WWE Intercontinental Champion and won the WCW Tag Team Championship seven times in total, six with long-time partner Kevin Nash.

Hall has been open about struggling with addiction issues in the past but has got his life back together with the help of fellow wrestler-turned Yoga instructor Diamond Dallas Page. DDP has also helped other former wrestlers deal with pain and addiction.
