‘Who Killed Sara?’ season two trailer: Is Sara still alive?

The anticipated trailer for season two of the Mexican drama ‘Who Killed Sara?’ dropped. Here is everything we know.

Netflix dropped the much anticipated trailer for Who Killed Sara? season two which will be available for streaming on 19 May.

The trailer of season two suggests that Sara may not actually be who she appeared to be and her brother learns more about who she really is.

“I found out things about Sara’s past,” said Alex. 

“If you seek revenge, dig two graves,” said Elisa. 

Netflix describes season two as …

“A mysterious body found in his backyard threatens to send Alex back to jail. At the same time, he finds information that leads him to believe his sister wasn’t who he really thought. Will he be able to exact his revenge?”

The dominance of Sara in the trailer had fans questioning whether she is still alive.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM SEASON TWO?

The first season follows a man who was wrongly convicted for the murder of his sister and served 18 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. He then seeks revenge on the Lazcano family who framed him. 

The Mexican drama consisted of 10 episodes each under half an hour long which had fans hooked. The series did well on the streaming platform and trended on the top 10 list.

The season ended on a cliffhanger leaving many questions unanswered and the trailer for season two leaves viewers with a whole lot more.  

The first season was set around the Lazcanco’s and the circumstances around Sara’s death and the trailer for season two reveals that the show will shift focus to Sara herself and the secrets she had kept.

CAST OF SEASON TWO 

The main cast members are confirmed to return – Manolo Cardona, who plays Alex, Ximera Lamadrid, who played Sara, Gines Garcia Millan who played Lazcano, Claudia Ramirez who played Marianna as well as the Lazcano children. 

According to Netflix, Daniel Giménez Cacho, Matías Novoa and Antonio de la Vega will be joining the cast for the second season. 

“We’re not afraid to [make] this kind of genre, a mystery thriller that we’re used to seeing it from the States or from the UK or from Europe. We’re not afraid as storytellers to go and jump into the water and do the kind of shows that we were not used to seeing in Latin America. Now we have a story that is transforming that. This is a series from Mexico with love to the world,” said Cardona according to Marie Claire.
