South African tweeps have spoken…and their verdict speaks volumes about who they claim is the rudest celebrity in Mzansi…

It all began when Twitter personality “Mr Smeg” posed the question; “Who is the rudest celebrity?”. The tweet went completely viral with Tweeps weighing in on the matter.

Top contenders for the “rudest celebrity” title included the likes of SA Idols judge Randall Abrahams over his brutal screen remarks, actress and fiery Twitter personality Pearl Thusi and presenter Ntando Duma, who recently made headlines over a paraplegic parking spot.

However, majority rules, and an overwhelming number of tweeps crowned sharp-tongued screen star Zenane Mfenyana as the winner!

“She holds a PHD in rudeness,” quipped one tweep, whilst another added; “She’s taking the trophy”.

Tweeps also shared their own personal experiences about meeting rude stars in real life. A few followers recalled how meeting their favourite soapie stars left a bad taste in their mouths.

“He dismissed me so rudely,” a tweep said of encountering Isibaya actor Siyabonga Thwala.

“Zakes Bantwini was rude to me in 2014 at the Hansa Festival of Legends [concert]” claimed another.

Zenande Mfeyana’s new title will no doubt rile her up…But that’s nothing new, given her history. The controversial celebrity has made waves time and time again for her shady remarks, snubs and celebrity feuds but the criticism hasn’t seemed to faze her.

She posted amid the Twitter drama; “I’m standing taller this morning as I remind myself of who I am and what I’m made of! This world is yet to see the powerhouse that is me! I am coming for everything, nothing can stop me now!”

Meanwhile, stars like DJ Zinhle, Zodwa Wabantu and Proverb have been credited by tweeps as being the “most humble” celebrities in the country in a separate tweet posted by Mr Smeg.
