You’ve heard of a destination wedding – but have you heard of a ceremony taking place on the back of a truck?

That’s exactly what happened in South Africa after a clip emerged of an entire wedding party seated in the back of an open bed truck.

The event – rumoured to have taken place on the streets of Limpopo – even featured décor in the form of balloons and flowers displayed on the truck!

SOUTH AFRICANS AMUSED BY TRUCK CEREMONY

The video of the “truck wedding” was posted on the Facebook page of the City Of Joburg.

In the 30 second clip, the bride and groom can be seen together seated on their wedding loveseat whilst their bridal party, consisting of bridesmaids, groomsmen and several guests are captured sitting in individual seats in the back of the truck.

The City of Joburg also issued a warning to residents to refrain from practising such events. It said:“We urge residents to use vehicles for their intended purposes and stay safe”.

R5 MILLION LIMPOPO WEDDING GOES VIRAL

Meanwhile, a lavish wedding which took place in Limpopo last weekend has gone viral on social media 

A couple by the name of “Mr and Mrs Mogoato” were the talk of the town after pictures from their grand nuptials – including dozens of sports cars, several outfit changes and a picturesque venue trended online.
