Actor Bonko Khoza: ‘Mqhele character doesn’t belong to me’
Former ‘The Wife’ star Bonko Khoza took to Twitter to set the record straight on his previous role Mqhele, now played by Wiseman Mncube.

Award-winning actor Bonko Khoza, who played the first Mqhele in The Wife seasons one and two is asking fans of the telenovela to accept Wiseman Mncube as his replacement in season three.

‘MQHELE CHARACTER BELONGS TO DUDU BUSANE’
The actor-voice-over artist Bonko Khoza recently took to Twitter to applaud Uzalo star Wiseman Mncube for his portrayal as Mqhele in Showmax’s The Wife season three.
According to TshisaLIVE, Khoza was reacting to viewers who suggested that he played the role better.
“I pray one day the audience and the creators can be on the same page because there’s a real disconnect between what happens behind the scenes and what the public sees. This character does not belong to me.”
“It belongs to Sis Dudu and Showmax. Meaning it can be played by whoever they see fit. As for me, I did my fair share. And now it’s time to give other actors a chance on the same big platform that I got given a chance.”
