Actress Jessica Nkosi lands role in comedy series ‘Lavish’

Former ‘The Queen’ actress Jessica Nkosi has bagged the role of Zozi in Mzansi Magic’s new comedy series ‘Lavish’.

The actress Jessica Nkosi, who played Thando Sebata in The Queen scored the role of Zozi alongside The Estates’ Sdumo Mtshali and more stars in Mzansi Magic’s new fictional dramatic comedy series Lavish.

Sunday World reports that the Mzansi Magic comedy series Lavish is set in Kyalami and follows the lives of Zozi played by Jessica Nkosi, Kat played by Ayanda Bandla, and Nomzamo played by Kanyi Nokwe.  

The three wealthy women are in their 30s and navigate death, divorce, and disaster and are kept together by the strong bond of their friendship.  

Nkosi’s character is an Instagram mom, rich wife, and fabulous fashionista, who is juggling fame and family.  

According to the publication, her character Zozi also knows where the bodies are buried.

The show will also star former Scandal actress Nolo Seabi and former Isibaya actor Sdumo Mtshali.   

Sunday World reports that actress Ayanda Bandla will play Kat, an ambitious workaholic who is juggling a thriving career, motherhood, and dating.   

Kat is from a prominent political family and plans to get to the top of the political food chain.  

Actress Kanyi Nokwe will play Nomzamo, who’s a little rough around the edges, a fiercely fabulous vixen with new money to burn.   

Nomzamo wants to build an empire while her partner wants a dedicated wife.  

Shirley Adonisi, Director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net told the publication:  

“Mzansi Magic has long produced cutting-edge dramas and dramatic comedies geared towards a mature audience, and Lavish is the latest show in this genre. We can’t wait to see how our discerning audience will resonate with the show.”  

Viewers will get to see the show on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161) on Friday 4 November at 8 pm.
