In a quick turnaround, AKA says fans watching ‘The Braai Show’ with Cassper Nyovest as the host will actually benefit him in a number of way, one being financial.

After weeks of legal notices and statements, AKA attempted to halt the airing of The Braai Show‘s second season, set to premiere on 8 September. But now, after a failed court interdict, the rapper is actually encouraging South Africans to watch the show!
AKA’S COURT BATTLE
The award-winning rapper reportedly filed an urgent application to the Johannesburg High Court last week to stop the airing of The Braai Show with Cassper Nyovest as the host. AKA reportedly agreed to withdraw the application and settle out-of-court.
In a report by City Press, AKA noted to the Johannesburg High Court that if The Braai Show aired, he would be affected financially and it would go against the ownership agreement between him, Cake Media and MakhuduCom.
All three parties did not reach a conclusion.
AKA ENCOURAGES SOUTH AFRICANS TO WATCH ‘THE BRAAI SHOW’
Who would’ve thought that AKA would be encouraging South Africa to tune into the second season of The Braai Show with his rival Cassper Nyovest as the host.
In the statement, AKA mentions that South Africans supporting The Braai Show would not only benefit him financially but also benefit him in other ways.
The show is set to air on SABC1 on 8 September and the executive producer of the show David Phume has said The Braai Show will go on.
Phume also mentioned that they will announce the guests set to appear on the show in the next few days.
CASSPER NYOVEST’S EXCITEMENT
Cassper Nyovest has expressed his excitement several times on social media about being the new host of The Braai Show.
He shared on Twitter that he had bagged himself a role as executive producer on the show, saying that he had to add his vibe to The Braai Show.
In a previous interview, he shared that the national broadcaster could not pay him what he wanted so he took what was offered to him and said he would only do the show if he was allowed to promote his brands.
With The Braai Show only a few days away, anticipation builds to see what Cassper has in store for viewers.
