Made up of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingroso, Swedish House Mafia is one of the biggest house music groups in the world. The group announced their hiatus in 2013, noting that they wanted to work on solo projects.

SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA ON THEIR RETURN

Speaking to Billboard magazine, Steve Angello explained that reuniting means rediscovering what Swedish House Mafia was.

“We all have our different likings, obviously. Seb shows me something, or Ax shows me something I have never seen or heard, and it becomes this magic again that we had when we were young.”

Steve Angello

‘IT GETS BETTER’

It Gets Better is the first song fans have heard from Swedish House Mafia since their Grammy nominated mega hit Don’t You Worry Child featuring singer-songwriter John Martin.

Ingrosso admits that the group was confused about how they’ll step back onto the music scene. He said he thought it was depressing and disgusting to make a comeback.

“It was just like, ‘What the f*ck do we do? How do we come back? Do we just give them another [version of] what we’ve done before?”

Sebastian Ingrosso

It Gets Better is a laid-back single that gives you an instant summer feeling. Too bad it is winter in South Africa as this song would sound great on full volume next to a pool with a beer and the smell of boerewors flaming on the braai!

SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA’S NEW ALBUM

Their new album, Paradise Again, is part of a new label deal they have secured with Republic Records. The record label has a number of big artists under their belt, including Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Drake and Lorde.

Paradise Again is their first project since Until Now was released in 2012. Until Now featured a number of hits, including Greyhound and Miami 2 Ibiza.

No release dates have been announced for their new album, but we’re holding onto It Gets Better for now!
