Spring is here and what better way to celebrate with some hot music. This playlist has everything you need, from amapiano to pop and from international to local. Here are a few tracks to welcome you to spring!

1. LORDE – SOLAR POWER

Lorde released her album Solar Power on 20 August and fans of the 24-year-old alternative star cannot get enough of it. The single, Solar Power, is a track that stands out from the album. 

The song opens with: “I hate the winter”, which is exactly how we’re feeling now that spring is here!

2. JAMES VICKERY FEATURING EARTHGANG – YOU COMFORT ME

Hailing from South London, this R&B star has you covered with this soft and feel-good tune. James Vickery teamed up with hip-hop duo Earthgang for You Comfort Me. The single is on his debut album, Songs That Made Me Feel released on 16 July. 

3. PABI COOPER FEATURING REECE MADLISA, BUSTA 929 AND JOOCY- ISIPHITHIPHITHI

Energetic dancer Pabi Cooper makes her music debut with Isiphithiphithi. Pabi teams up with the lively Rece Madlisa and talented Busta 929 for this one. The music video for the single was released on 20 August and has already accumulated over 700 000 views!

4. 25K – TRAP JUMPIN’

Lunch in Sandton will never be the same with 25K’s single Trap Jumpin’. The rapper from Pretoria stunned hip-hop fans with his debut album Pheli Makaveli. Trap Jumpin’ is one of his lead singles from the album. 

5. DOJA CAT – WOMAN

This year’s MTV Video Music Awards host, Doja Cat, is giving us all the spring sounds in her new album. Planet Her is an exceptional offering and is a fusion of genres. Woman is the opener for Doja Cat’s new album and has an afrobeat feel to it. This is definitely something you can move your hips to!
