Rapper Snoop Dogg has congratulated his cousin Sasha Banks on her latest WWE Championship win after her count-out win over Asuka earlier this week.

The Boss defeated Asuka to win her fifth Raw Women’s Championship on Monday, 27 July, in a match where stipulations ruled that the title could change hands via count-out or submission.

Snoop has always shown his support for Banks’ WWE career. One of the most notable moments being when he accompanied her to WrestleMania 32 and rapped over her entrance music as she made her way to the ring. That same weekend, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2016, making him the first musician to join WWE’s best.

Snoop’s relationship with the WWE brand goes as far back as 2015 when he was seen joining forces with Hulk Hogan to throw Curtis Axel over the top rope at WrestleMania 31. He was also a master of ceremonies at WrestleMania XXIV and guest-host at Raw in 2009.

Sasha Banks breaks records

Banks broke the record for the most title reigns with the Raw Women’s Championship in the process of defeating Asuka. Even though Charlotte Flair is a nine-time women’s Champion, five of those reigns have come with the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Bayley, Banks’ tag team partner played her part in the title win, launching a backstage attack on Asuka’s partner Kairi Sane. It would be Sane’s last night on WWE programming as she bid an emotional farewell to the promotion this week.

Golden Role Models have a vice grip on division

This now means that the Golden Role Models now hold all WWE’s Women division titles that are available.

With Becky Lynch off on maternity leave and Charlotte Flair recovering from surgery Bayley and Banks are set to dominate the women’s division for the foreseaable future.

You can catch the Golden Role Models  every week on WWE Raw, Tuesday mornings live on SuperSport 4, DSTV WWE channel 128 and WWE Network, and on WWE Smackdown Live on Saturday mornings on the same channels.
