Following ‘RHOD’ season three release date, Showmax has explained why Londie London, LaConco and Thobile Mseleku won’t be back.

The cat is finally out the bag, Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) season three is set to premiere on 1 February on Showmax.

The new season brings changes in the cast, as season two housewives; singer Londie London and presenters Nonkanyiso “LaConco” Conco and Thobile Mseleku will not be returning.

With questions from viewers about the cast changes, Showmax explained to TshisaLIVE why each of the ladies will not be back for another opulence and drama-filled season.

“Londie is now based in Johannesburg while MaKhumalo and LaConco have new hosting gigs on Mzansi Wethu’s new reality series Ezomshado and Mzansi Magic’s Our Perfect Wedding respectively.

“We’re grateful for everything they brought to the show but are delighted with the mix of old and new faces this season, which is going to be a cracker,” reality and entertainment local channels senior manager Lerato Moruti told the publication.

The good news, though, is that RHOD viewers will still get to see familiar faces as Annie Mthembu, Jojo Robinson, Nonku Williams and Sorisha Naidoo will be returning.

WHO ARE THE NEW ‘RHOD’ CAST MEMBERS?

Although viewers are sad to see some of the ladies go, there’s excitement for what the three new queen’s will be bringing to the table.

New RHOD housewife Mbali Ngiba said she joined Season 3 as it felt like a great opportunity for her “to be a part of such a successful franchise amongst such amazing women.”

Mbali is a musician, actress and the co-founder of African Centric Designs. She is best-known for her role as Welile in defunct Mzansi Magic telenovela Greed and Desire. She has also appeared in other telenovelas such as Isibaya and Isithembiso.

Also joining the reality series is Slindile Wendy Ndlovu who is a human resource consultant by qualification, with experience in events management and interior designing. She is also the founder of events management company Mawesi Consulting.

The third lady is Maria Valaskatzs, a television presenter, producer and writer. She is the director of media and communications agency MV Consulting and is the co-owner of video production company VKATZPK Media.
