‘Real Talk with Anele’ former employee highlights mistreatment on the show

Real Talk with Anele has been off our screens for over 2 years now. One former employee remisces she was treated on the set.

Television host Anele Mdoda has been the center of a few Twitter conversations and has even been called out by Twitter users for some of her tweets. Anele resigned from her show on SABC 3 Real Talk With Anele in 2018 saying that she felt for her own growth purposes, she wanted to leave the show. The show has since been canned but a former employee is speaking out about being mistreated while working on the show.

THE MISTREATMENT 

Sive Nkukwana took to her Twitter page to share her experience while working at Anele’s Real Talk with Anele. She briefly touched on the mistreatment at the show and said after working for the show she told herself that she’d treat the people she works with, with compassion and empathy. 

“The way I was mistreated when I worked on Real Talk, I vowed to treat people who work with/under my lead with compassion and empathy. Everyone must feel seen and heard. I make sure I elevate & uplift the good side of my team.I make sure they know how important their role is.”

Sive’s tweet gained a lot of attention with some asking her to do a thread on her experience at the show while other tweeps chipped in about their own experiences at their workplaces. 

Sive is currently the lead creative at Trending SA. The show has hosted a number of celebrities over the past seven months.The likes of Redi Tlhabi, DJ Sabby and UCT Vice Chancellor Professor Mamokegethi Phakeng have featured on the show. 

WHAT IS ANELE UP TO?


The award winning television presenter is currently a co-host on Honey TV’s The Buzz. Anele joined the show on its fifth season and hosts the show with Rachel Mwangemi, Pearl Umeh and Zanna Katoka. She also co-hosts the 94.7 Breakfast show, ‘Anele and The Club on 947’ every weekday.
