Nasty C represents Africa on Team Coca-Cola’s ‘Colorful’ Olympics track

South Africa’s pride and joy, Nasty C shines as Africa’s only voice for Team Coca-Cola’s official track for the Tokyo Olympics.

Nasty C is easily one of South Africa’s most successful artists. Over the years he has collaborated with a number of international and local artists and even scored himself a record deal with American heavyweight label Def Jam Recordings.

The award-winning rapper has scored himself a gig for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics as Africa’s only representative.

COCA-COLA’S OFFICIAL SONG FOR THE OLYMPICS

Coca-Cola is one of the official sponsors for the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games. The song Colorful is a collaborative effort between 14 artists from around the world. 

The song is a project by Team Coca-Cola and will be distributed by Universal Music Japan across the globe. Artists featured on the song include Korean boy band SHINee’s Taemin and American singer and actress Sabrina Carpenter.

Also on the line up are Japanese girl group Little Glee Monster, singer-songwriter Chikuzen Sato, Motohiro Hata and South Africa’s very own Nasty C. 

Nasty announced on his Twitter that the song and the music video will both be released on digital platforms later today. 

NASTY C TAKES THE UNITED STATES 

Nasty C has proven to be South Africa’s superstar rapper and represented us on a global stage numerous times.

The SMA hit maker recently visited the United States and rubbed shoulders with a number of American rappers including Grammy winning rapper Snoop Dogg, and Grammy winning producer Zaytoven. 

While in the US he shot the music video for his latest single Jack that has been on top of the YouTube charts behind Cassper Nyovest’s Siyathandana

WHAT’S NEXT FOR NASTY C?

Having spent some time in the studio in the US with a number of artists notably DJ Whoo Kid, Zaytoven and Jeezy, fans are expecting a few bangers from Nasty C and can’t wait to see what he has in store. 

American rapper Dave East also teased a song featuring Nasty C but no release dates have been announced as of yet.

The Durban native rapper dropped the music video for his single with Ari Lennox Black & White earlier this year that has since scored over three million views.
