‘LOVE ISLAND’ 2023

The Love Island winter series hit South African shores in January 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic. The villa was situated in the leafy suburbs of Constantia, Cape Town and the series was won by Paige Turley and Finn Tap, who are still together as a couple.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, director of reality commissioning and controller at ITV2, Paul Mortimer said Love Island has proven to be one of the United Kingdom’s favourite talking points in the summer.

“So, rather than just serving up a Summer of Love, we thought we’d make 2023 the Year of Love with two full series of the show,” added Mortimer.
