‘KIZAZI MOTO: GENERATION FIRE’

Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire will be a 10-part anthology series that brings together several African animators to produce narratives around the science-fiction and fantasy genres.

Speaking to Variety in 2021, Disney+ president Michael Paull said the streaming giant was bringing “the work of a visionary new generation of African filmmakers” to Disney+.

“The films in the anthology kind of run the gamut when it comes to science-fiction. These are stories that touch on other world’s time travel and alien beings, but all of these genre conventions are seen through an African lens that makes them totally new,” Paull added.

According to the publication, “Kizazi Moto” is a Swahili term which translates to “fire generation”.
