KHLOE BREAKS THE NEWS TO FANS

Khloe Kardashian broke the news to fans of the Kardashians on Twitter after being asked if they were still having their big annual do.

She responded by saying that the number of COVID-19 cases in California was getting out of control and so they had decided not be have a 2020 celebration. Taking the pandemic seriously was a must, she said.

THE HISTORY OF THE KARDASHIAN CHRISTMAS EVE PARTY

If you’re wondering what the big deal is, the Kardashians have made their Christmas Eve party a family tradition since Kris Jenner married Robert Kardashian, the late father of Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob, in 1978.

For the last two years, Kris Jenner took a break from being the host. In 2018, Kim and Kanye hosted the annual Kardashian Christmas Eve party at her home. The theme was “winter wonderland” and the couple went all out for a lavish do.

In 2019, Kourtney took over as host and threw a floral and forest themed party with a performance from Sia.

KARDASHIANS STILL RECEIVING BACKLASH

After Khloe announced that there would not be a Christmas Eve party in 2020, there were still comments about how they had not been mindful of the virus during the year.

Many knocked Kim’s 40th birthday party, when she took her closest friends and family to a private island, and where they were spotted celebrating mask-free.

Following Kim’s birthday, Kendall threw herself a star-studded Halloween party a few days before her 25th birthday, which also received plenty of backlash.

KHLOE KARDASHIAN AND KANYE WEST TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19

Earlier in 2020, both Khloe Kardashian and Kanye West tested positive for COVID-19. This was revealed in a recent episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, where Khloe took viewers on her journey of testing positive, the self-isolation period and the effects on her health.

Kanye had been travelling and tested positive after returning from Wyoming and previously travelling to Paris. Kanye was quarantined at home.

The crew suspended filming of the show in mid-March, and Kim and other family members were then self-shooting for the show.

KOURTNEY TO MAKE CAMEO IN ‘HE’S ALL THAT’

In other news, eldest Kardashian sister Kourtney will make an appearance alongside best friend and TikTok influencer Addison Rae in the film He’s All That. The film is a remake of the 1999 rom-com She’s All That

The mother of three broke the news with an Instagram post of her lying on a bed wearing thigh-high boots and reading a script.

The film will be directed by US screenwriter Mark Waters, who also directed iconic films Mean Girls, Freaky Friday and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. The writer of the original She’s All That movie, R Lee Fleming Jr, will also do He’s All That.

The film is intended to be a gender-swapped reboot from a teenage girl’s perspective. The plot is based on a social media influencer, played by Addison Rae, who tries to turn a nerd into prom king after she was dumped by her boyfriend.

The male lead role is played by Tanner Buchanan and the film is expected to be released in 2021.
