WHO WON BIG AT THE CREATIVE ARTS EMMYS?

Adele marked her first-ever Emmy win after winning the Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special Award. The win means the Easy On Me hitmaker is one Tony Award away from EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) status.

Former US president Brack Obama beat out the likes of David Attenborough and Lupita Nyong’o to win the Outstanding Narrator Award for Our Great National Parks. Taking to Instagram on 4 September to celebrate the win, Obama reflected on visiting the Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.

“Climate change is having an impact all around the world, including in Yellowstone National Park, which was recently devastated by wildfires,” wrote Obama.

“National Wildlife Day should be an urgent reminder for all of us to do our part to protect our wildlife and environment.”
