The pop culture gaming festival is back by popular demand. The event has moved to Johannesburg Expo Centre to accommodate more than 80 000 attendees.

Comic Con Africa has added a new element called StreetCon, which will showcase the latest streetwear and accessories. Festival-goers can look forward to the return of the Food Truck Village and more exciting new additions.

In a statement, the Comic Con Africa team said they have spent the past year and a half to ensure this year’s event will be bigger, better and safer than ever before.

Following the overwhelming response from Comic Con Africa fans, Show Director Carla Massmann said they are ready to welcome them again.

“We are thankful for the fans that have already shown their excitement and encourage those who missed the sold-out Black Friday Blowout to purchase their tickets as soon as possible to take advantage of the phase one price.”

“We are so thrilled to see the events industry slowly igniting again. We missed the fans so much and can’t wait to unite. We’re coming back and we’re coming back BIG,” said Massmann.
