Rapper Cardi B is known for her over-the-top fashion sense and her elaborate collection of wigs and weaves. The latest is a baby-pink heart-shaped bun of pigtails on her Instagram and her followers seem to be loving it.
Tokyo Styles designed the wig.
‘Ya like my hair?’
Cardi B shared a video of her new look on her Instagram page with the caption, “Ya like my hair?”. She asked her followers if they would go to a club like that.
So far, views have hit more than 11 million and it has pulled in more than 52 000 comments — so fans seem to really like the look.
Who is Tokyo Styles?
Transgender hairstylist and wigmaker Styles is the designer behind Cardi’s latest trendy look. Styles is known for appearing on Keeping Up with The Kardashians, as well as Life of Kylie.
She is Kylie Jenner’s personal stylist and has also worked with big names in the entertainment industry. These include Kylie’s sister Kendall Jenner, as well as Nicki Minaj, Beyoncé, Doja Cat and more.
Cardi also shared some behind-the-scenes action.
Cardi fans hyped up Styles’ work in the comments, calling her the “GOAT” (Greatest of All Time) and praising her creativity.
Styles also collaborated with Kellon Deryck on Cardi B and Megan The Stallion’s controversial WAP music video.
‘WAP’ makes waves
The song and music video for WAP has seen mixed reviews on social media. Critics feel that Cardi B and Megan The Stallion are objectifying themselves and negatively influencing young girls.
However, fans feel the single is empowering women and encouraging them to explore their sexuality.
