ARROWSMITH FIRED FROM ‘BRIDGERTON’

According to The Sun, executives at Netflix have confirmed Arrowsmith is no longer working on the production. The publication reports that the production is about the early lives of the romantic drama’s main characters, including Queen Charlotte, Lady Danbury and Violet Bridgerton.

A source revealed that show chiefs introduced a whistleblowing hotline for staff to report any concerns or form of abuse as bullying became a huge concern on set.

“There have been several issues on set, and a few crew members ex- pressed concerns about a number of different incidents,” the insider said.

‘BRIDGETON’ STILL REIGNS ON NETFLIX

This recent scandal is reportedly not holding back the series as it is still reigning supreme on the US streaming platform.

Daily Mail reports that season two set a record on Netflix less than a week after premiering.

The romance series recorded a whopping 193 million hours of viewing time worldwide, making it the most any English-language Netflix series has garnered in its first three days.

In addition, the much-loved series is also in the top 10 in 92 of the 93 countries where rankings are tracked by the giant streaming service.

Not only that, but the second season also had the second highest opening weekend total of all Netflix series. The only show to top Bridgerton was part five of Spain’s Money Heist, which acquired 20.9 million hours in its first three days – reports the publication.
