During the festive season, many parents run out of ideas to entertain their children. Ever since the first national lockdown, companies had to resort to virtual entertainment. That includes going on safari.

If you are running out of ideas for entertainment, why not log onto YouTube and watch a game drive from the comfort of your living room.

According to Cape Talk, SafariLIVE, an award-winning live safari, hosted by expert game rangers have set dates for virtual game drives this December.

It is of course a great opportunity for kids to learn about South Africa’s wildlife and even has a live chat function where rangers answer questions live.

They are doing two game drives a day, which you can watch live on YouTube. Here you can see anything from leopards, lions and hyena.

You can also learn about the intricate ways everything in nature interacts – predator and prey, flora and fauna – to create a finely balanced environment.

The morning drive takes place from 5:30 to 8:30 (SAST) while the afternoon drive takes place from 15:30 to 18:30 (SAST).
