After five years on air, M-Net is pulling the plug on sports and lifestyle show, Homeground, hosted by Minnie Dlamini and Lungile Radu.

MINNIE ANNOUNCES LAST EPISODE OF ‘HOMEGROUND

The announcement was made by Minnie on her social media accounts. The presenter and businesswoman posted a picture of her outfit for the show as she thanked viewers for tuning in. She added that the very last episode of Homeground, which airs on Mzansi Magic and Supersport TV on Mondays, will be on 12 September.

“This week’s look on #Homeground ????
After 5years our show is coming to an end. Don’t forget to tune in to our last episode next week Monday on @supersporttv & @mzansimagic,” Minnie wrote.

M-NET CONFIRMS THE END OF ‘HOMEGROUND’

According to the Daily Sun, M-Net confirmed that the show, hosted by Minnie and Lungile, is coming to an end.

“After 4 successful seasons, on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161), Homeground will come to an end with its final episode airing Monday, 12 September 2022. Hosted by Minnie Dlamini and Lungile Radu, the lifestyle-meets sports show took viewers through the most thrilling sports highlights and in-depth celebrity interviews from Mzansi’s finest,” M.Net said.

The channel also thanked all the guests who have been part of the show, including the show presenters and production crew behind the scenes.

When asked which show would replace it, M-Net said it would be announcing soon.

“The M-Net Local Entertainment Channels is dedicated to bringing viewers the freshest local content, and will continue to uphold this commitment. New content will be announced in due course,” they said.

MINNIE’S NEW BUSINESS VENTURE

The media personality also launched a new business venture this week. As per TimesLIVE, Minnie launched a luxurious bar lounge, The Mansion, in Centurion on Wednesday evening.

Minnie acquired a part-ownership of the luxury venue that caters for more than 300 patrons. The venue provides indoor and outdoor sections and is expected to be a hotspot in the future, the publication reports.

“I’m excited to be putting the biggest names in music in this place, but also emerging new talent, which is very important, and to be a part of the culture of growing this industry in the way that actually puts money in artists’ pockets.” Minnie was quoted as saying.
