PRINCE HARRY BLAMES TABLOIDS FOR MEGHAN’S MISCARRIAGE

Meghan Markle opened up about her miscarriage on the final episode of Harry & Meghan on Netflix. The former Suits star revealed that she suffered a miscarriage the first morning that they woke up in their Santa Barbara home in July 2020.

This was after they quit their duties as senior working members of the royal family earlier that year. Prince Harry blamed the tabloids for the miscarriage.

“I believe my wife suffered a miscarriage because of what the [Daily] Mail did. watched the whole thing,” he said.

So, what was Prince Harry referring to? Well it was the protracted legal case the duke and duchess launched against the Daily Mail back in 2019. This was because the publication published a private letter which she wrote to her estranged father Thomas Markle.

Meghan and Harry have two children together – Archie (3) and Lilibet (1), who they raise in Montecito, California.

THE DUKE: ‘THE MISCARRIAGE WAS CAUSED BY WHAT THEY WERE TRYING TO DO TO HER’

Prince Harry noted that he cannot confirm that the miscarriage was caused due to the tabloid. However, he felt like the stress and lack of sleep was what contributed to it.

“Now, do we absolutely know that the miscarriage was caused, created by that” said Harry.

“Of course we don’t, but bearing in mind the stress that that caused, the lack of sleep and the timing of the pregnancy, how many weeks in she was, I can say from what I saw, that miscarriage was caused by what they were trying to do to her,” he continued.
