Blood on the red carpet: Daniel Craig shoots down bad Bond questions

If there is one agent who is dead tired of playing the same 007 role, it’s Daniel Craig. Unshaken during his red carpet interviews at the ‘No Time to Die’ world premiere, Craig stuck to his guns.

The world premiere of the latest Bond movie, No Time to Die, was held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Tuesday evening 28 September. Daniel Craig looked dashing in a pink velvet tuxedo and of course, all eyes were on him, but the Bond star had no time for the reporters on the red carpet…

DANIEL CRAIG’S FINAL BOND OUTING

Daniel Craig already made it clear that he will be hanging up his tuxedo before filming of No Time to Die started.

“I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists,” he said in an interview with TimeOut at the time.

And if there was any doubt left that the 53-year-old actor might have any regrets about exiting the Bond franchise, an awkward exchange with a reporter at the No Time To Die premiere sealed the deal.

CRAIG’S AWKWARD RED CARPET INTERVIEW

In an interview with Australian reporter Brett McLeod which aired on Today, Craig was asked if he was sad about walking down the red carpet for the last time.

Craig bluntly replied: “Sure, yeah.” Gesturing to the red carpet event, he however added: “I don’t know how much I’ll miss this.

“Maybe. We’ll see. I’ll think about it tomorrow.”

McLeod then asked him whether he’d “do a Sean Connery” and reprise his 007 role again at some later stage.

“Nope, definitely not,” was Craig’s emotionless answer.

‘Not my problem’

And when asked who he thinks should take over his role as James Bond, he responded: “Not my problem.”

In an even more cringe-worthy interview with the Daily Mail, Craig was asked whether he said goodbye to the James Bond character quite a while ago.

“No, not at all. No,” he sarcastically replied, before staring at her in silence…

Of course, one can’t blame Craig for his reaction to her poor question as his desire to quit the franchise has been well-documented in recent years.

‘NO TIME TO DIE’ WORLD PREMIERE

The No Time to Die world premiere at Royal Albert Hall in London was quite “royal” indeed. The red carpet saw the cast of the movie — Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch, Naomie Harris, Ana de Armas, Ben Whishaw and Léa Seydoux — step out in rather dazzling outfits.

The Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, and Prince William and Kate Middleton the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also made an appearance on the red carpet.

American singer Billie Eilish, who performed the No Time to Die theme song, also made an appearance.
