The 2022 Emmy nominations were announced on 12 July by Hollywood stars Melissa Fumero and JB Smoove. HBO Max’s Succession has topped the 2022 Emmy nominations list with 25 nods. Following closely behind is the comedy-drama series, Ted Lasso with 20 nominations.

Succession is a dark comedy series that premiered on HBO in June 2018. Since then, the series has dominated the Golden Globes, the British Academy Television Awards (BAFTAs) and the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
This year, Succession is the frontrunner for the 2022 Emmy Awards with 25 nominations and has scored nominations in the Outstanding Drama Series category, Lead Actor in a Drama Series (Brian Cox) and Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Sarah Snook).
The popular series scored 12 nominations at the 2021 Emmy Awards.
