It was an emotional and special moment for Big Brother Mzansi 2022 finalist Libo Njomba who saw his family for the first time on Monday 4 April since his stay in the Big Brother house that lasted for almost three months.
The 32-year-old personal trainer was one of the housemates who made it into the top five of the competition, therefore living in the house for a full 71 days. Unfortunately for him and his fans (#Litbombs) he did not walk away with the R2 million cash prize. His fellow housemate, and the only woman who made it to the final, Mphowabadimo, came out victorious.

AN EMOTIONAL LIBO GETS A WARM WELCOME
The Eastern Cape-born contestant’s family was eagerly waiting for him after finally exiting the Big Brother house on finale day. In a video posted to Twitter, his family and friends are seen walking up to him with gifts in hand.
According to Malonde Zama who posted the video, Libo’s family were bearing gifts from his fans.
A tearful Libo is seen hugging his people one by one, starting with his father. In the video, his mother, who is carrying a bouquet of flowers, is heard crying as she approaches him to give him a long, warm hug. The woman is heard telling him that she is proud of him.
“My boy… I’m so proud of you. You’re a winner, you’re a winner,” she tells him.
Other housemates also joined Libo and his family. His boys in the house, Gash1, Themba ‘The Ghost’ and Thulz were also seen embracing his family as they meet for the first time.

LIBO’S MOTHER PICKS HER FAVOURITE CONTESTANT
Another video shows the happy bunch chatting away as Libo is handed some of his gifts. One of his presents from the Litbombs is an iPhone 13 pro max, which he loves – judging by his reaction.
In the same video, Libo’s mother gleefully tells Themba that he was her favourite in the Big Brother house.
“My favourite. You were my favourite,” she says.
