Wrestling fans are in for an exhilarating surprise next month when TNT Africa, launches All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Rampage across the African continent on Saturdaythe 2nd of October @ 10:00 CAT.

AEW Rampage will be welcomed to South African screens with a catchup day, where all eight episodes of the weekly one-hour wrestling programme will be aired for the first time on the African continent. We won’t spoil too much but those episodes feature, the earth-shattering AEW debut of CM Punk.

AEW Rampage and Dynamite on TNT Africa

An electrifying show featuring the hottest stars of today and tomorrow, showcasing their athleticism, charisma and creativity on the fastest rising stage in all of professional wrestling, AEW Rampage joins TNT with the existing AEW Dynamite, turning TNT into a live wrestling territory.

There are more thrills in store for die-hard wrestling fans as legendary professional wrestler, Mark Henry, otherwise known as ‘The World’s Strongest Man’, enters the fray as a commentator on AEW Rampage as well as a scout, coach and mentor at AEW. The former US Olympic athlete held down a 25-year career in WWE where he was a two-time world champion.

South African flavour

Joining him on the screen is Johannesburg born, 33-year-old Angelico (Adam Bridle), who brings an undeniable South African flavour to All Elite Wrestling. In recent months, Angelico’s star has risen significantly on the AEW rankings since being featured on AEW Dynamite. His first AEW appearance was at the inaugural Double or Nothing event as part of The Hybrid 2 with Jack Evans. Since then, Angelico has continued to impress in tag team matches and singles competition — most notably in an intense match against Cody Rhodes on AEW Dynamite in December 2020.

The newest and coolest wrestling promotion in the world is also here to make an unforgettable, showstopping entrance with a non-stop, back-to-back eight-episode premiere on the day of the launch from 10:00 until 16:30 (CAT). Viewers can then watch a brand-new episode of AEW: Rampage every Saturday after that, and to end off the #WrestlingWeekendsonTNT, on Sundays, still get a dose of fan favourite, AEW Dynamite. And good news for DStv subscribers. Suppose you miss the weekly episodes on DStv; for the first time, all AEW episodes will be available on DStv Catch Up the same day following the channel premiere.

“We are excited to bring AEW Rampage to our loyal wrestling fans. The reception to AEW Dynamite was proof that our audiences were hungry for raw, authentic, athletic content. Rampage is going to take that viewing experience a few levels higher,” says Guillermo Farré, Head of the WarnerMedia General Entertainment channels across France, Iberia and Africa.
