According to Coco Mellors’s website, her debut Cleopatra and Frankenstein is currently being adapted into a TV series with Warner Bros Studio. Variety reports that Maggie Kiley is to be the director.

In his article for Variety, Joe Otterson states that Kiley is a highly sought-after director. Her directing credits include the Netflix survival drama Keep Breathing starring Melissa Barrera. She has also directed series episodes for Pretty Little Liars, Dr. Death and Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story.

With Mellors’ characters and Maggie Kiley’s eye for visuals, a Cleopatra and Frankenstein series will surely be nothing short of perfection.

Coco Mellors was born in London and moved to New York as a teenager. During her fifteen years in New York, she received an MFA in Fiction from New York University. In 2020, Mellors moved from east to west and settled in Los Angeles.

Cleopatra and Frankenstein is her first novel.
