What can fans expect from a Beyonce live performance? [video]

Get ready!

Beyonce live

Yes, Beyonce will be performing live in South Africa later this year. It’s not a tour but hubby Jay-Z will be there and performing at her side. The lineup is crazy, but what can fans of the Queen expect from Beyonce live?

Beyonce live in SA: What to expect on stage

On Monday, Global Citizen confirmed the lineup for its upcoming festival to honour Nelson Mandela in December. The show will take place 2 December at FNB Stadium and see the likes of Ed Sheeran, Usher and Casper Nyovest share the stage with the world’s power couple.

While Bey has previously performed in SA at Mandela’s 4664 concert before, she now has tons of new music to offer and a whole new stage set up.

When Beyonce headlined the US Coachella festival earlier this year, she blew people away not only with her dancing, but also with the brilliance of the band accompanying her.

Seriously, just listen to those horns in the video below.

Beyonce and Jay-Z: On the run

With Jay-Z also on the lineup and the couple currently on their On The Run 2 tour together, the SA show could be straight from that playbook.

With an opening duet of Holy Grail and Jay-Z performing “Paris” on a floating stage (that’s sure to piss Kanye off), the joint tour is once again doing huge numbers.

With so many other performers hitting the SA show, expect something with less interlude visuals. While we might just want to see Bey, Usher, Pharell and Wizkid have to get their time too.

In terms of duets without Jay, the fact that Ed Sheeran is also on the lineup means we could be blessed with a live duet of Perfect.

The best way to know what to expect is to see this performance from literally just a few days ago. Get ready Bey stans, she is coming to Jozi.
