Dearly Beloved

“Stars don’t shine, they burn”,
so is the twinkle in your eyes.
You, born to sparkle, glisten in life
stand out from the crowd,
predestined pride.
Sheltered from birth,
for not all were meant to witness your soul.
You, of honour and determination,
ambitious with precision,
soar dear child.
May goals align, ’til Kingdom come,
protect your pearls,
passion flows from pure intent.
Remain a child of scrutiny,
“be careful who you happen to”
and last but not least,
go be who you’re destined to be.
