Siseko Gwegwe

Siseko is a long-suffering Bafana Bafana fan. The problem began in 1996 at his parents' home in Khayelitsha. It was the night Brazil came back from 2-0 down to beat Bafana 3-2. The former striker and right back grew up in Cape Town reading his mom’s Drum magazines and his father’s City Press. He spends summers at his second hometown Middelburg, in the Eastern Cape’s little karoo. After studying journalism at Varsity College, he worked at Soccer Laduma for over three years before going international with Futaa for two years. His total of seven years in the industry includes freelancing stints in current affairs and entertainment reporting.
