Head of Tax Technical at Tax Consulting South Africa Jean Du Toit holds a BCom LLB degree from the University of Pretoria, a Post Graduate Diploma in Tax Law from the University of Johannesburg and an LLM in Tax Law from the University of Witwatersrand. He is an admitted attorney with experience in tax litigation where he represented SARS in tax disputes in the Tax Court, High Court and Supreme Court of Appeal. He specialises in tax dispute resolution and cross-border taxation. Jean regularly makes technical submissions to National Treasury on legislative amendments and policy formulation and was the technical editor of the LexisNexis publication Expatriate Tax: South African Citizens Working Abroad and Foreigners in South Africa.
