Ramblings of a searching entrepreneur – Do you have an inferiority complex?
When I began my journey of reflection, I discovered not all of it would be encouraging.
I arrived in London in the early naughties with youthful ambition and a bursting desire to do great things, at least that’s what I tell people. My arrival coincided with the .COM crash which smashed our business to bits. My determination to get the business back on track and the excitement of a new challenge motivated me to rebuild and move forward. Fast-forward about 13 years and life has moved on dramatically. The journey and its rewards have been tremendous. But I’ve reached another challenging phase in my life and the way forward isn’t clear. My ramblings are a reflection of my search for clarity and direction.

The real challenge is navigating the endless distractions that surround us. For me one of these distractions was the world of start-ups brought into fashion by Dragon’s Den.
Life and lifestyles move on. I don’t think kids play in the street anywhere in the world like they used to. It troubles me that I can’t provide my children with a similar upbringing to mine and this is something I’ll need to overcome. I don’t think I’m alone in this.
My ramblings are a reflection of the search for clarity and direction in my life prompted by what most people would judge as a fairly minor incident, but for me, it was fundamental.
